Treasure For Real
If you haven’t read about Forrest Fenn and the treasure hunt he set up, I encourage you to Google him.
Essentially, 10 years ago he created a treasure chest.
Yes, an actual treasure chest, full of gems, gold, and artifacts worth about $2 million.
He hid this in the Rocky Mountains and released a poem that in a convoluted fashion led to the treasure.
Apparently a couple of people died during the treasure hunt. Forrest was asked if he was going to remove the treasure.
His response, “If someone drowns in the swimming pool we shouldn’t drain the pool. We should teach people to swim.”
In other words, we shouldn’t focus on removing dangers, we should focus on knowing how to handle and prepare for them.
The same goes for all of life.
Moral of the story, make sure you’re in good enough shape to go treasure hunting.
