Threshold Training Cycle – Microcycle 1 – Wednesday
Done as a circuit of 20 rounds:
Weighted Pullups for 3 reps @ 65% 1 RM
Power Clean for 1 rep @ 85% 1 RM
Rest 15 sec
After Circuit :
BB Curl to Failure @ Between 50 and 75% 1 RM
Yep, you read that right, 20 rounds. It’s a good way to get a lot of volume at a higher weight. For the BB curls, you are going to failure and should be spent from the pullups, so this is just to assist that. Pick a weight that you can comfortably curl 10 reps or so and go to town.
