Thought of the day: I’ve been on this pain piece for the last few days, mostly because this is where athletes go wrong.
It’s easy to stick with things when they are hunky dory, but when you have pain and discomfort it’s also easy to say “let’s take a rest day”.
Unless you came out too hard or too quick, which you will know by a drastic change in your training plan, rest days are rarely the answer. Often times, they are even harmful to your long term health.
Our bodies are designed to heal under load.
