Endurance Training Cycle Phase 1 – Microcycle 4 – Friday
Though, full disclaimer, I actually skipped my lift yesterday. I’ve driven a lot in the last couple days and I was extremely tight.
What this means is that in the prep time for an ultra marathon you have to choose the priority, which is in this case is running. So, I didn’t think it was worth risking my lower back in the pursuit of my squats while instead I could just train for the priority of the time.
I’m going to still post what the plan was, but this really is a lesson in understanding a flexibility of a training plan. Today I’ll end up lifting, but not squats and then on Saturday if I feel better I will make up the left then.
