Thought of the day:
I don’t understand the whole “stronger by science” fad.
This is not to say I don’t agree with the sentiment and I obviously do base my. coaching around it when I can, but 90% of fitness hasn’t even been studied.
And, if it has, it’s rarely done as a complete training plan because they’re are too many variables. The few that do this, are only done across weeks. Not the months and years required.
So, with that in mind, I’d be skeptical of marketing ploys when you see “science based” training. Unless of course, it’s paired with the actual study.
Fortunately, we have case studies with what has worked for the last 40 years to reach the highest levels of sports today. To include 1,000lb+ squats and deadlifts and benches 500+lbs and much more. But, it’s not backed by science, your call.
