Deload week. It’s been a while and I need it. I know I’ve talked a lot about alternate weeks in the past, but like I said before, they all have their place.
But, this time around, I need the deload.
Thought of the day:
To continue on the line about deloads. Deloads do not have to be prescriptive. Yes, there are general guidelines, but the purpose is to take a break.
Mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Sometimes mixing it up is what you need, sometimes it’s baking off. Regardless, they are essential for everyone and the only real rules are a) allow your body to recover and b) this doesn’t mean do nothing.
Preferably somewhere around 55-65% of your training Max and somewhat related to your training
You follow those rules and you’ll probably be alright.
